What is a WordPress theme and why have you designed them?

A WordPress theme is a series of files that provides a uniform appearance for a website. It enables new content to be added to the website without any coding being required and ensures that any changes apply to every appropriate part of the website. One of my hobbies is designing WordPress themes for myself and organisations I am involved in, I have designed these themes to enable Scouting webmasters (or potential webmasters) who don’t have the technical skill or time to develop a website for their Group, District, or County etc. to still have a pretty website.

How do I install the themes?

To install the theme, first download it from this website. Then go to Appearance > Themes > Install Themes > Upload and select the zip file. Once it has been uploaded, then click Activate.

How can I change the title text to an image?

To add a header image, upload the image to your website and then make the changes below to header.php:

Delete: <h1 class="name"><?php bloginfo('name'); ?></h1>

Replace it with: <img src="IMAGE LINK"></a>
